Enon UMC

Enon United Methodist Church, a vibrant, energetic family of faith, had its humble beginnings in 1837, when it derived its name from John 3:23, "Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim".

It is situated on a piece of ground that experienced the "hardest cavalry fight" of the Civil War. Out of those ashes there continues to grow a Church that spreads God's Word in the community and throughout the world by its involvement in Heart Havens' Homes, Stop Hunger Now, Camp Rainbow, Society of St. Andrews, various missionaries, plus many other missions of the District and Conference.

All levels of the family of faith at Enon, have a place to serve God and His sons and daughters. Besides Sunday School, choirs for all ages, Youth, United Methodist Women and Men's groups, there is fellowship after church service, bible studies, and VBS. All of this is in addition to the working committees of the church.

It is a cozy little Church situated among the mighty oaks on Studley Road in Hanover County, where our concern for each other and the surrounding community is witnessed from the Word of Jesus the Christ, "To love one another, even as I love you.".
